Our Process
What Working With Us Looks Like
Hiring a tree service can feel like a gamble. You're not sure what the visit will cost, how long the work takes, or whether the crew will leave ruts in your lawn and sawdust everywhere. Most people have a bad tree-company story, or know someone who does. West Roots handles it differently. From the first phone call to the last branch hauled off, you'll know what's happening and what comes next. When you reach out, you talk to Chase or Cory, the two owners. They answer the phone, walk your property, price the job, and finish the work.
Communication Is Where We Stand Out
A lot of tree companies are great with a chainsaw and a little rough around the edges on everything else. Communication is where we've made our name, and it's the reason customers call us back and send us their neighbors. We answer messages quickly, keep you posted from the first call to the final rake-up, and never leave you wondering what's next.
Why We Handle It This Way
A removal near your house or a limb over a power line has to be done right the first time. So our process takes the uncertainty off your plate. You'll always have a written record, a clear next step, and a direct line to an owner if a question comes up. We'd rather explain too much than too little. If we're going to drop a tree ten feet from your garage, you should know exactly how we plan to do it before we start.
Our Process, Step by Step
1. You reach out.
Call, text, or fill out the form on our site. Chase or Cory will get back to you fast, because we’d rather earn your business than make you wait for it. Tell us what’s going on: a dead tree you’re worried about, a storm that dropped a limb, a lot you need cleared, or trimming that’s overdue. The more you can tell us up front, the better we can plan the visit.
2. We come look at your trees.
We aim to visit your property within one to two days of your first call. You’re welcome to walk the yard with us and point out what’s on your mind, or leave us a note and let us assess it on our own if that’s easier. While we’re there, we look at the size and health of the tree, how close it sits to your house, fence, or power lines, and how we’d get our truck and chipper to it. Those details drive the price, so we want to see them in person instead of guessing over the phone.
3. You get a written estimate by email.
We don’t hand you a number in the driveway. Every tree and every property is different, and a price rushed on the spot tends to be the wrong one. Instead, we put together a written estimate and email it to you within a timely manner. You get it in writing, so you can read it over on your own time, compare it, and share it with anyone else in the household who’s part of the decision.
4. You decide on your own timeline.
Take the time you need. If anything in the estimate raises a question, reach out and we’ll walk through it with you. If we haven’t heard back in about a week, we’ll send one friendly follow-up so nothing falls through the cracks, then leave the ball in your court. You won’t get badgered with sales calls.
5. We get you on the calendar.
Once you approve the estimate, we schedule the work. We can usually fit jobs in sooner than a lot of other companies in the area, so you’re not sitting for weeks with a hazardous tree leaning over your roof. If your job is urgent, we’ll do what we can to move you up the list.
6. We do the work and clean up.
On job day, we get the work done safely and leave your property better than we found it. We haul away the debris, rake up the mess, and do a final walk-through with you, so the only sign we were there is the tree that’s gone. Our customers mention the cleanup as often as the work itself, and that’s on purpose.
Our Reviews
West Roots cut down 7 trees for me they were very profesional and the pricing was very fair. I would use them again for sure.
West Roots Tree Service showed up when they said they would and removed the trees I asked them to remove. They were professional and ensured I was happy with the service they provided. While they were there, I asked them for the price to remove an additional tree, and they gave me a good price, so we agreed to take that one down also. I would highly recommend them for any tree service you need.
Not only was this the best quote we received for our tree removal project, but communication and responsiveness was top notch. They also were super courteous in trying to find a time to complete the project when our yard was not wet – going above and beyond to do a clean project with minimal other impact to our landscaping. Top notch service here, do not think twice and use West Roots for all your tree service needs.
West roots were prompt, very professional and did a great job on all 3 times we hired them. We were so happy we recommended them to several neighbors who hired them also.
Did an excellent job and took very good care of our lawn, as you can see. Clean up was amazing. We would recommend them anytime.
Cory and Chase removed two monster trees from our backyard in just a day and a half. They cut wood for me for the fire pit and hauled out a trailer from the backyard trapped by the fence They did a great job and it was impressive how they had to land huge branches and tree trunks to keep from damaging other trees and bushes. I highly recommend this company!
